Mountain Paws Pet Sitting is owned and operated by Matt Coffay, a lifelong animal lover. Matt has years of experience working with animals. As a child, he began volunteering at a canine training center to gain experience with dog training and animal behavioral problems. Volunteering here also gave him the opportunity to learn how to show dogs in obedience and agility competitions.

As a teenager, Matt volunteered with the Dixie Golden Retriever Rescue Organization in Georgia, helping to provide foster homes for displaced golden retrievers. He also volunteered with his local humane society in the north Georgia mountains.

After attending college in Georgia, Matt relocated to Asheville where he is a part-time graduate student of Chinese medicine. As of now, he's glad that pet sitting offers him the opportunity to continue working with animals while attending school to become a health care provider.
